تضمن وفد المجتمع المدني السوري إلى جلسة الإحاطة الرسمية التي خصصتها لجنة حقوق الإنسان للرد على ردود الحكومة السورية على أسئلة اللجنة، كل من د. مية الرحبي مديرة منظمة مساواة، والناشطة النسوية غنى الشومري، وهما من مجموعة المنظمات النسوية والمبادرات والناشطات المدافعات عن حقوق المرأة في سوريا، التي قدمت تقريراً مشتركاً إلى لجنة حقوق الإنسان، ، كرد على ردود الحكومة بما يتعلق بالتمييز والعنف الواقعان على النساء والفتيات السوريات، كما مثلت السيدة عنى الشومري ميثاق الحقيقة والعدالة، وضم الوفد كذلك السيد مهند شرباتي ممثلاً للبرنامج السوري للتطوير القانوني والسيد سامر الضيعي، ممثلاً عن رابطة المحامين السوريين الأحرار.
تتقدم مساواة وجميع من شارك في إعداد التقرير المتعلق بحقوق النساء بالشكر الجزيل للبرنامج السوري للتطوير القانوني وتخص بالذكر السيد مهند شرباتي على كل الدعم الذي قدمه للمجموعة أثناء إعداد وتقديم التقرير.
The Syrian civil society delegation to the official briefing session designated by the Human Rights Committee to respond to the Syrian government’s responses to the committee’s questions included Dr. Maya Al-Rahbi, Director of the Musawah Organization, and feminist activist Ghina Al-Shoumari, from a group of feminist organizations, initiatives and activists defending women’s rights in Syria, which submitted a joint report to the Human Rights Committee, as a response to the government’s responses regarding the discrimination and violence against Syrian women and girls. Mrs. Ana Al-Shamari represented as well as the Truth and Justice Charter, and the delegation also included Mr. Mouhannad Sharabati, a representative of the Syrian Legal Development Programme, and Mr. Samer Al-Daei, a representative of the Free Syrian Lawyers Association.
MUSAWA and all those who participated in preparing the report on women’s rights extend their sincere thanks to the Syrian Legal Development Programme, and particularly mention Mr. Mouhannad Sharabati for all the support he provided to the group during the preparation and submission of the report.
